About Fix Apron Belly

Last updated

Fix Apron Belly is an independent reference site for people living with an apron belly, the fold of skin and fat that hangs over the pubic area (the medical term is panniculus). We publish plain-English guides to the condition and researched picks of the garments that make daily life easier.

Who writes it

Articles are written and maintained by the Fix Apron Belly Editorial Team. We publish as a team rather than inventing a named persona. Nobody on the team is a doctor, so we do not give medical advice. Every medical statement links to its source: a peer-reviewed paper, a professional society, a major hospital or an insurer's published policy.

What we do and don't do

  • We do check each garment's size chart, construction, fabric, price and return policy on a named date. We read public user reports from people with an apron belly and quote them with links. We score picks with a published rubric.
  • We don't wear-test garments (yet). Every pick says "Researched, not hands-on tested." We don't publish star ratings, invented testimonials or before-and-after photos we don't have the rights to.
  • We don't tell anyone their body needs fixing. The name is about fixing the practical problems: rash under the fold, waistbands that roll, clothes that don't sit right, and insurance paperwork.

How the site is funded

Some product links are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission. That doesn't change a price or a score. See our disclosure and editorial policy.
